goonies shirt

chris dooley rocking the goonies shirt

i actually had to refuse to sell this shirt to a couple folks before i could let dooley here get it. everyone else was getting it because they liked the movie “the goonies”, when the shirt actually commemorates the band “the goonies”, who were quite a force in central mass. my reasoning was that anyone psyched about the band would be a million times more psyched about this shirt that someone who was psyched about the shirt because they were psyched about the movie. right? anyway, you can see it in his face right here- PSYCHED!

the goonies were a brace of seriously bold kids who grew up to be champion adults still up to seriously crazy hijinx. for more see the goonies archive, and bonezone (which consists of three ex-goonies).

goonies shirt - $5

and yes, this is the same dooley who made the awesome suicidal shirt. looking good, hurricane!

I worked for a while with Paul Cummings, former Goonies bass player. he and I used to reminisce about such events as the smashing of a 4 foot tall bong on-stage at the Expresso Bar during the song Kill 420. He was the only member opposed to the display and thought it was childish and stupid. I think (but I’m not sure) that he’s the only member left who is still edge. I was at that show as well as some others in the suburbs around Boston. I was not at the show they played with FenixTX though. I think that was at the Palladium and remember there being a big brawl because a Goonies fan spit on one of the guys in FenixTX.
