some of these already say “do not eat” on them, like the various dessicants and the spark plug cleaner. the rest, i figured was better safe than sorry. right?

dan wars poster

danwarsposter.JPG
our buddy dan wars made is a good stack of these awesome posters– definite “halloween shit in easter colors”. there’s a lot to like about this poster, my favorite is the crass logo that says “sex pistols” around it (tile B-5).

“spa fon” and “squa tront” roughly translate to “oh shit!” and “no shit…”

color coded shelf

colorcodedshelf.jpg

these things weren’t selling in their original colors so i thought i’d try something new. but i guess no one likes mint green… anyway i’ll be changing the color every week until i find the optimal color for:

  • a pair of shoes
  • a hot wheels car
  • a wooden cross
  • a clock radio
    and

  • a toothbrush holder

    stay tuned!

    fruits flyer / fashion shoot

    fruitsflyer.gif

yes, this flyer (click for larger) is based off a picture from FRUiTs, the book (moreso than the magazine) that jumpstarted the street fashion scene (not to say that people didn’t dress crazy before the book, but it certainly inspired a LOT of people to do so). i don’t need to go into any detail about it, it rules.

march 8th we’re having a fashion shoot at the store: we will have lots of great clothes (way more than we have had previously), a stylist on hand, someone saying “that is YOU”, carrot sticks, hot lights, and a real fashion photographer saying “WORK IT”. bring your ass.

    HUSTLE MODE

a kid: do you have iron maiden t-shirts in kid’s sizes?
    me: no, sorry buddy.
kid: oh, when are you getting them in? (NB: this is apropo of nothing)
me: next week. buuuuuuut, they’re weird. it says “iron maiden” in the font, and it has eddie, buuuuuuuuut… uh…
kid: is eddie holding a hatchet dripping with blood?
me: no, he’s like, drinking a milkshake or something.

well, ok, it’s not a milkshake, it’s an ice cream cone, but still that’s pretty good service, right?

by popular demand, and because it’s the end of the month and we have totally no money for rent (really bad), we are selling this t-shirt on the internet. the shirt is white with a black and green design. it is $20 postage paid to the continental US. please paypal the money to: jacob at fujichia dot commmmmmmmmmmmmm. be sure and list size preference: on this one we can do youth small all the way to XXL. the shirts are white, but if you don’t like mint chocolate chip (the tim mcveigh special) we can color in the ice cream orange sherbet.

oh, and we’re also selling t-shirts with this popular image on it:

the image is printed in black and the shirts are like mustard yellow. like the “eddie ice cream” shirts they are also available in sizes from youth small to XXL, and they are also $20 post paid to the conty US. again, just paypal the money to: jacob at fujichia dot calm and we’ll ship them out early next week.

    SOLD OUT

remember to specify which shirt you want and what size(s).

oh, and if you just want to slime us with a donation, now is a really good time to do so, in any amount.

    perchance to dream

    hbmlnodogsbody.gif

huuuhh? oh, been sleeping on this webpage again, and now the webpage has cold drool on it. it’ll evaporate, whatever.

in re the squid raffle– mike benedetti won the squid ok? he bought a hundred dollars worth of tickets, then he won. i didn’t really know how to spin his power play– i tried to make him out to be, like, a fat cat throwing money around and, hey, are you going to take that kind of abuse from some fat cat? thinks just like that he’s going to like, win the thing, because he threw 100 tiny clams at it? well anyway he won it and if you know mike you know the fat cat thing is a ruse but if you don’t let me say this: mike benedetti is a svelte anti-capitalist human. OKAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY.

lots planned for the upcoming months, lining up all sorts of art shows (more on that when it’s finalized) and working on a toboggan full of dumb new toys and clothings, plus tons of stickers and maybe a zine or two or three. also we have (and will continue to have) tons of new volunteers, which rules, and we’re applying for massive grants which is really switching up the game in a really weird way. i mean, we’ve been going apeshit bananas for nearly 1 3/4 years now on almost no money– really just barely scraping by. which is fine, i mean i’m not complaining, it’s our business and that is our practice. but imagine how huge we could fail with an extra thou every now and again? brucie bertleman has a word for shit like the shit i’m thinking about– GNARPIC.

and if you don’t already, catch the rss feed– everything is poised to turn.
