free condoms
we get these condoms from aids project worcester, which is a great resource with lots of great people working there (hi jesse!). i guess a big box full of condoms is a pretty funny thing when you’re in a weird junk store with a group of friends, but what people really bug out over is the female condom. people take them all the time but i don’t think anyone has the guts to actually use one. wise guys take them and play like they’re going to insist on it. but judging from popular response, female condom = sex edsel. but i’m not discouraging anyone– even the edsel had it’s merits. anyway, if you need them, take them, no shame there.
oh, and if you’re going to APW to get a free test (which is good to do just so it isn’t a big deal), keep your eyes peeled for a really good spraypaint drawing of a helicopter on the road leading up. i don’t know who did it but it’s really cute.

yes, these are repackaged trading cards from a variety of trading card serieses, some desert storm, some dinosaur attacks, some american gladiators, some back to the future 2, many others, all meticulously assembled to construct a new story in every pack. how’s your pattern recognition? is it secret agent / delusional mathematician good? time to find out.

dice
we got a lot of dice, in a variety of colors, and immediately following their acquisition, i just got really into it (”it” = the idea “dice”). craps is great if you’re a gambler and into clichés (which i am), hot dice is a real good “stuck somewhere” kind of game, and the weed-smoking variant, “zonk” also seems pretty good– though i’ve never played it (true), the zonk wikipedia entry is really good, a great intersection of “stoner” and “nerd” archetypes (not to say such crossovers don’t frequently occur). special big up to meredith “li’l dice” gaydosh, who isn’t a nerd or a stoner but likes stoop games and who i like and who wish i was hanging out with *right now*. dice- $.25
